Biography
I am a licensed Psychologist, Couples Therapist, Hypnotherapist, and Certified Health Psychologist. I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years. I have a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, one of the top Clinical Psychology programs in the U.S. I completed a Doctoral Internship at the University of Washington Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry. I also completed a Post-Doctoral Internship at the Berkeley Therapy Institute. I am currently in private practice in the Rockridge district of Oakland, California. I have a general Psychotherapy practice for adults and adolescents, and my approach to therapy is Psychodynamic. One of my primary areas of specialization is in Relationship and Marital Therapy. In addition, I have a Certificate in Health Psychology, and I specialize in treating individuals with a variety of health conditions and chronic illnesses. I have been trained in Hypnosis, and I use this technique to treat a variety of Psychological symptoms and to help reduce distressing habits. I have taught Psychology courses on a number of subjects, most recently through U.C. Berkeley Extension. Lastly, I am currently a Faculty member of The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, where I supervise therapists in their post-graduate training program.
