Education and Experience
Psychologist for decades, with years of specialized training and experience in IFS® (personality-parts work, Level 1 plus years of further training), couples therapy (The Couples Institute, Menlo Park, CA), coaching (College of Executive Coaching, Pismo Beach, CA); executive coaching in Los Angeles and the greater SF Bay Area); and expressive-arts therapy adjunct (SoulCollage®, trained Facilitator). Ongoing education in, and practice of, Coherence Therapy (Ecker, Hulley, & Ticic). I work with a culturally and racially diverse clientele *via Zoom* throughout California. Private pay, reasonable rate.
More Personal Info
I'm White and cisgendered (she/her) and LGBTQQIA-friendly. I have given many workshops and presentations, over decades, on various psychological topics. I give SoulCollage® workshops via Zoom and in person. This simple, fun, creative, unexpectedly profound way of deeper self-awareness and self-expression features inner dialogue with the personality parts (and other aspects of one's life) that are depicted in one's collages. It supports good relationships and mature decision-making, helps with difficult emotions (grief, anger, helplessness, shame, fear, false guilt), and fosters a realistic and positive sense of self and an easier, more empowered and interpersonally-connected life.
In addition to my own writing (poetry, articles on psychology, one monograph, a book in progress), I keenly enjoyed working 2014-2022 as Associate Editor (content and line editing) of articles for two monthly online newsletters of SoulCollage Inc. In this role, I collaborated with writers and non-writers to shape for publication their stories of SoulCollage®-assisted transformation. I also wrote a number of articles on this fascinating process, including about my personal SoulCollage® practice.
