Most of my clients started working with me inn the midst of a personal crisis and it was important to make practical improvements while developing a deeper relationship with their self. Some people are satisfied with short-term therapy and elected to stop there. Others decided they wanted to use this opportunity to initiate longer-term changes in their present lives, often relating to issues of childhood and family of origin.

I have a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy, including training with Aaron Beck in Philadelphia and being a founding member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. This is balanced my humanistic and existential views of the world.

I rejoined ACPA because I am older than most (70+) and want to connect with younger people in practice. I've worked extensively with young adults, an ongoing specialty, and also with parental issues relating to young adulthood.
