•Provide weekly individual therapy to 6 adolescents at an alternative high school for students facing adversities that led them to struggle in a traditional school setting. Students are 14-18 years old, primarily students of color, and from low SES backgrounds. Histories include involvement in the juvenile justice system, gang affiliation, substance use, domestic violence, foster care, and child abuse/neglect.
•Foster effective therapeutic relationships through a Narrative Therapy and Control Mastery lens to support students through concerns of complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, suicidality, and self-harm.
•Design curriculum and facilitate a weekly communication skills group for 7 students as a part of their workforce development. Groups are based on the Interpersonal Effectiveness module of DBT and combine skills and processing.

•Collaborate on a team of administrators, teachers, and therapists to provide students with both academic and emotional support. Work along child welfare social workers and external therapists for in-home and parental intervention.
