More Personal Info
Everyone needs a little help in life now and then. I work collaboratively with teens, families, couples, and individuals helping them to identify and solve the problems that are getting in the way of achieving their goals. I am direct, compassionate, and use my sense of humor in helping people to make changes in their life. My clients and I work as a team and we often include family, friends, coworkers, or other community organizations or members as resources. In our work together, we can get you back on track to accomplishing your goals. The areas I have experience and success are: anxiety, depression, ADHD, neuro/psycho/educational assessments, relationship problems, trauma, drug and/or alcohol abuse, anger problems, bipolar disorder, self-harming, diverse clients, and academic problems. I provide both brief and long-term therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as family and couples therapy
My specialties fall into four categories: 1) Teenagers - I have worked with teenagers for 20 years. I work with out of control teens as well as teens that are depressed , anxious, and suicidal. 2) Couples/Families - My focus has been in working with couples and families to improve relationships. 3) Individual Adults - 50% of my therapy practice is treating individual adults for ADHD, anxiety, depression, & trauma. 4) Psych Testing - I do neuro/psycho/educational assessment for ADHD, learning disorders, & behavioral problems.
Since I work with individuals, families, couples, teens, adults, and do psychological testing, I can work from a variety of modalities and take into account many aspects that other therapists cannot.
